SINGAPORE - Among the 15 symbols approved for use by candidates at the next General Election are a rhinoceros, a whale, a galloping horse, a flower and a tree.
These symbols are for independent candidates not belonging to any political party.
If chosen by a candidate, the symbol will appear beside a candidate's name on the ballot paper.
No one has yet declared his intention to run as an independent candidate in this coming election, so it's not known if the symbols will be used in the upcoming election.
