Woman, 33, arrested at Clementi for theft

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 33-year-old woman for her suspected involvement in several theft cases.

Police said in a statement that they received reports of theft in Clementi in May. From police camera footage and extensive ground enquiries, the female suspect was arrested at Clementi Central on Monday at 4.30pm.

Following the arrest, a mobile phone and some clothing were seized. The suspect is believed to be involved in at least three other similar cases.

She will be charged in court on Wednesday for theft, which carries a maximum jail term of three years, or fine, or both.
