Woman appeals for video footage after sister hurt in highway accident

SINGAPORE - The sister of a woman involved in an accident along Jurong Island Highway is appealing for anyone with footage of the incident to contact her.

Ms Candy Tay Xinyu shared, in a Facebook post on Tuesday (Jan 12), photos of the accident where her sister was badly injured.

Her sister, Ms Jean Tay, 27, was riding a red scooter and was apparently involved in a collision with a lorry. The crash took place at around 8am on Monday (Jan 11), Lianhe Wanbao reported.

She was conveyed to the National University Hospital where she underwent a five-hour operation.

The safety engineer suffered injuries to her chin, ribs, right leg and lost many teeth, Wanbao reported. Her lower jaw was smashed and she also has a "broken thigh", according to Ms Candy.

She is currently in a high dependency ward.
