Woman found dead in car parked at Jakarta airport

The police at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport are investigating the death of a woman found in a car parked at the airport's Terminal 2.

Head of the airport police, Sr. Comr. Chizaini Pattopoi, said they had yet to identify the victim.

He declined to comment on whether she had been murdered, despite blood being found inside the car, but stated the body belonged to a young girl and the car was a grey Honda Freed registered in Jakarta.

The body was found by airport security guards stationed at the car park.

The police also found a school tuition card in the car belonging to a student at Harapan Bunda senior high school in Pondok Pinang, South Jakarta, however, on follow up at the school, the student was in class.

The body was brought to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for autopsy.
