Woman gets robbed in middle of live TV interview about street crime

An interview about rising crime rates in Rio de Janiero by one of Brazil's leading news programme took a strange turn of events when the interviewee was robbed on camera.

According to online news sources, television crew had stopped a passer-by to ask her if she thought there had been a rise in theft and other crime in the area.

However, a man suddenly came into view on the televised programme and attempted to snatch the woman's necklace.

The reporter tried giving chase to the man, but lost him due to congested traffic.

Fortunately, the woman was unharmed and the man failed to get away with her jewellery.
