Wong Kan Seng discharged from hospital

Former Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng was discharged from hospital on Saturday afternoon following a surgical operation on July 30 to remove a small lesion in the liver. He is now recuperating at home.
A statement released by the Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC said the lesion is benign.
Mr Wong, 66, is an MP for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC.
He thanks his residents, friends and well-wishers for their concern and good wishes for his recovery.
From an earlier statement from his constituency, Mr Wong will be on medical leave for about two months. During this time, the other MPs in the constituency will assist him in his constituency duties.
