Singapore's Cut by Wolfgang Puck ranked among top 25 restaurants in Asia

SINGAPORE - Travel site TripAdvisor announced today its annual Travellers' Choice awards for restaurants across the globe, including a dedicated list for the top 25 dining establishments in Asia.

At 21st place, American steakhouse Cut by Wolfgang Puck at Marina Bay Sands was the only Singaporean entrant on the list. The restaurant is the third location for master chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck's steakhouse concept.

Cut - which serves a range of beef selections grilled over hard wood and charcoal - was lauded by reviewers for its "tender and tasty" steaks, luxurious ambience and attentive service.

The top spot in the list went to China's TRB - Temple Restaurant Beijing, with the other winners located in popular holiday destinations such as Phuket, Bali, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, New Delhi, Taipei and more.

Bali claimed the most number of winners with eight restaurants in the list.

The awards honours top dining spots worldwide based on millions of reviews by travellers. Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews over a 12-month period.

"The Travellers' Choice restaurant winners have won over the TripAdvisor community with their outstanding food, service and ambiance - the perfect ingredients for a memorable fine dining experience," said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor.

"TripAdvisor is raising a glass to these top restaurants in the world that have delighted our community and their appetites."
