Singapore's Diner En Blanc event postponed due to haze

SINGAPORE - Pop-up picnic Diner En Blanc's Singapore edition on Oct 10 has been postponed because of the haze, organisers said in a statement today.

"We will be announcing a new date within the next weeks as we continue to monitor the haze situation," they said. Registration has also been suspended until the new date is confirmed.

Those who have already purchased entry passes and e-store items can still use them for the rescheduled event. If they are unable to attend due to the change in dates, the organisers said they will process refunds on a case-by-case basis.

Originally from Paris, Diner En Blanc - French for Dinner in White - is an invitation-only event that has since spread to about 50 countries. Singapore became the first Asian country to host it in 2012.

Guests are required to wear all-white and bring their own tables, chairs, food, and drink to a location that's only revealed hours before the event.
