AsiaOne People's Choice Awards 2013 honours the best in consumer products and services

SINGAPORE - A total of 27 consumer products, brands and services emerged winners in various categories at a red carpet award ceremony for the AsiaOne People's Choice Awards 2013, held at the SPH News Centre Auditorium this evening.

Over 180,000 readers' votes were cast from October 2012 to January 2013, with over 200 nominees for the 27 award categories. The categories of Best Full Service Airline, Best Tablet and Best Mobile Phone attracted the most number of votes.

The AsiaOne People's Choice Awards this year has been enhanced with new and revamped categories to reflect the growing diversity of choices for consumers in the market.

Mr Adrian Tay, Editor of AsiaOne, said: "Since our very first Awards in 2008, the number of votes has grown by leaps and bounds. This signifies how much people want their voice to be heard these days."

He added: "The Awards also presents an opportunity for AsiaOne to connect with our trade partners and to strengthen our online presence."

At this year's Awards, a special Hall of Fame segment was unveiled where POSB Everyday Card and SIM Global Education were recognised as repeat winners who have clinched the top spot for five consecutive years in the Best Credit/Debit Card and Best Private School categories respectively.

AsiaOne was partnered by gold sponsor, Fuji Xerox Singapore, for this event. About 160 guests had the chance to taste some of the delicacies from award-winning restaurants such as Kuriya dining, Carousel and Crystal Jade.
