The last leg of the Journey of the Youth Olympic Flame (JYOF), which ended at The Promontory@Marina Boulevard, marked the beginning of the official Youth Olympic Games (YOG).

While the crowd cheered and applauded as the Games were declared open, it was the famous Korean pop (K-pop) groups that got them on their feet, screaming and jumping frantically, trying to catch the attention of their idols.

K-pop groups, 4Minute and Beast (B2ST) were crowd pleasers. Consisting of five females and six males respectively, these international stars came to Singapore for a concert, adding hype to the Games.

The performances were part of the 65 free concerts and performances by international and local artistes at Marina Bay, held in conjunction with the Youth Olympic Games.
