In conjunction with Singapore's 50th birthday celebrations next year, Swensen's restaurant has introduced a limited edition 'SG50' menu, available from Jan 1, 2015.
The first three dishes to be launched for Jan to March includes savoury dishes with a spicy kick such as Laksa Aglio Olio with King Prawns, Grilled Chicken with Spicy Satay Sauce and Beef Rendang Baked Rice.
Laksa Aglio Olio with King Prawns ($14.90)
Putting a local twist on the classic Aglio Olio, this savoury creation features king prawns tossed in laksa pesto and laksa leaves.
Grilled Chicken with Spicy Satay Sauce ($14.90)
This main course features chicken marinated with the chef's special blend of spices and grilled, accompanied with a homemade satay gravy. Served with a pineapple butter rice and mixed salad.
Beef Rendang Baked Rice ($13.90)
Tender beef slices are basted in a homemade spicy Rendang sauce, served over a bed of aromatic rice baked to perfection and topped with crispy prawn crackers for that crunchy finish.
