Tampines interested in Salim

Tampines Rovers chairman Teo Hock Seng has confirmed that the Stags are wooing Woodlands Wellington coach Salim Moin.

"We want to recruit Salim for 2014...but we don't know if his club want to release him," he said, while addressing guests at the Stags' annual dinner at Holiday Inn Atrium Singapore on Thursday night.

Salim led underachievers Woodlands to fifth spot in the S-League this season, surprising the football fraternity here. Stags' coach Tay Peng Kee is poised to step away from the touchline and return to his general manager position in the club next year.

On a night Teo celebrated his 43rd wedding anniversary, he also issued a war cry - for his players to play more aggressive, attacking football in the years ahead.
