Tiger Woods meets young golfers in Singapore

SINGAPORE - A group of young golf enthusiasts from the Singapore Sports School, Golf Academy and the Dyslexia Association of Singapore had the opportunity to learn from Tiger Woods at an exclusive event held at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) on Friday.

The world No. 1 watched as the budding golfers showed off their skills at the custom-made golf course and a golf simulator at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

It was Woods' third visit to Singapore on the invitation of MBS for its corporate social responsibility intiative, Sands for Singapore.

"It is an honour to have Woods here to support our corporate social responsibility initiatives. Through events of this nature, we hope to imbed invaluable experiences that our youth will take with them into the future," said MBS President and CEO George Tanasijevich in a statement released on Friday.

In July, MBS also invited David Beckham to its Sands for Singapore Festival, where the football star met with 60 local children from The Guardian Academy and the Singapore Association for the Deaf's affiliated schools.
