Timberland launches first concept boutique in Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE - International outdoor lifestyle retailer, Timberland, celebrated its 42nd Anniversary and the launch of its very first concept boutique in Southeast Asia with an exclusive media preview held at Raffles City Shopping Centre last month.

The new concept boutique drew inspiration from one of London's oldest and famed streets, Regent Street, and it is decorated with handmade and re-purposed materials such as reclaimed vintage furniture and a chandelier of hand-blown glass.

At the store, customers can customise their own boots, such as selecting preferred lace colours and even choose to have their initials sewn onto their shoes.

At the opening event, Timberland showcased its Fall/Winter 2015 highlight of the season, the Black Forest Collection.

The men's collection exudes versatility, while the women's collection featured various shades of grey and black. The Black Forest collection encapsulates the monochromatic trend without coming across as vapid, thanks to its boldness and the contrasting hues of black and white.

Making their special appearance at the event were two of Timberland's MarkMakers: host and actor, Utt Panichkul and award-winning photographer, Willy Foo. The Timberland MarkMakers are brand ambassadors chosen based on their contributions in their respective fields.

Other familiar faces include radio personalities Melody Chen and Daphne Khoo, MTV Asia VJ Hanli Hoefer; hosts Richard Herrera, Danny Yeo, Randall Tan and Edward Russell, actress Cynthia Lee, fashion producer Daniel Boey and singer Alfred Sim.
