TOKYO - Tokyo stocks were down 0.27 per cent on Thursday morning, tracking Wall Street's fall as investors digest a string of US data ahead of a key jobs report on Friday.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index slipped 42.04 points to 15,365.90 by the break, while the Topix index of all first-section shares edged down 0.08 per cent, or 1.05 points, to 1,239.94.
