Top 10 favourite restaurants of 2014 in Jakarta and Bali

JAKARTA - Nearing the 2014 finish line, it is a very good time to look back and see which restaurants have been the most popular during the year.

From reviews gathered by Zomato, an online restaurant discovery guide operating in 18 countries, we have a list of the 10 most popular restaurants in Jakarta for 2014, and another 10 Bali-based ones.

The top 10 restaurants in Jakarta are dominated by fairly new establishments - opened as recently as 2013 - with only Skye, Toodz House and Union established for more than two years.

The opposite occurs in Bali's top 10 list, where most entries are well-known old establishments. La Favela and Revolver Espresso are the two youngest places on the list.

Jakarta has seen a rising popularity for hangout places, with the list containing plenty of bars and cafes. Bali, on the other hand, is still popular for its impressive collection of beach bars.
