Top 100 wines honoured by The Peak's Gourmet & Travel Magazine

SINGAPORE - The Peak Selections: Gourmet & Travel, a publication of SPH Magazines Pte Ltd, unveiled its list of G Top 100 Wines 2015 at an awards ceremony earlier this evening.

This is the sixth year that the publication has put out a definitive list of the best 100 wines. These top scoring wines were selected after being blind-tasted by the Gourmet & Travel judging panel that comprised 11 of Singapore's most renowned wine experts, such as oenologist Edwin Soon, veteran wine connoisseur Tan Kah Hin and established authority and wine commentator Daniel Chia. The G Top 100 wines serve as the authoritative go-to list for wine enthusiasts.

This year, 32 importer-distributors participated and wines came from 16 countries, including a good number from Italy and Germany, and a sprinkling from Spain and Argentina.

In addition to the top 100, the judges singled out three wines as Panellists' Picks, in which the wines scored a grade as high as 18 points based on a 20-point scoring system. Awards for White Wine of the Year, Red Wine of the Year, Sweet Wine of the Year, Vintage Champagne of the Year and Non-vintage Champagne of the Year were also be given out.
