10 best shopping malls in Bangkok

Bangkok is one of Asia's top shopping destinations, giving its visitors a spectacular spread of fashion variety across the many shopping malls in the city.

Seasoned travellers are probably familiar with the must-visit Chatuchak Market, but there are many new shopping complexes which have sprouted up in recent years.

Bangkok.com, a tourist information site, has listed down 10 malls every shopper should visit to satisfy all their retail desires.

The new shopping centres offer tourists a great variety of labels - ranging from local designers to international brands - under one big roof.

Terminal 21 Bangkok, described as a mall with a personality by Bangkok.com, is a nine-storey complex housing some 600 establishments for fashion, dining and entertainment.

Set to an international theme, visitors can enjoy seeing distinctive features coming from the world's top cities.

Don't be surprised if you walk into a London train station or be surrounded by rows of lanterns at the Japan alley.

Terminal 21 not only offers international brands but also built all the famous landmarks from other cities right in the mall - making it perfect for photo taking, selfies and of course, OOTD (Outfit of the Day) snaps.

The malls in Bangkok does not just focus solely on fashion. There are many other stores within the malls which offer lifestyle goods, stationery, home ware, arts and crafts and more.

Are you a gadget lover? Japan is not the only place to find good and well-priced products.

Pantip Plaza is the most famous electronics mall in the city, said Bangkok.com. Visitors can find the latest gadgets at wholesale prices and also used products at "rock-bottom prices".

If you are looking for a quick fix, you can find many technical specialists in one building offering their services.

However, like all IT malls, Pantip Plaza has also gained notoriety for selling counterfeit products, so visitors should be aware and not be sold a lemon.
