How to have an energy-packed weekend in Sentosa

Apart from its popular beaches, Sentosa offers a variety of adventurous activities that will turn ordinary weekend outings with the family into nothing short of awesome.

Occasionally, a break from your mundane routine is warranted – and welcomed. There is no better place to get that sense of thrill with exciting activities that the entire family can enjoy than in Sentosa, The State of Fun.

So, help them to unleash their competitive edges and get their hearts pumping at these 8 adventure zones!

1. Battle it out in Combat Skirmish LIVE at Fort Siloso

Fret not, this will be a friendly battle (we think!)!

Combat Skirmish Live at Fort Siloso offers four types of Combat Laser Shooting - Indoor Maze, Tunnel Battle, Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting and Mad Rush.

From battling mechanical soldiers inside a tunnel to a simulated skirmish in an indoor maze, Combat Skirmish LIVE lets everyone get in some action with laser tag and bond over some action-packed fun.

2. Enjoy a larger than life experience at Sentosa 4D Adventure Land

For something not too physically demanding, but just as exciting, head over to Sentosa's 4D Adventure Land.

This adventure theme park with a high-tech interactive entertainment zone is home to three unique experiences, suitable for every age group. Get the family in on all the virtual fun at Extreme Log Ride, Desperados, and Journey 2.

Imagine being in a virtual roller coaster right in the tropical jungles as you soar between cliffs in Extreme Log Ride, dive into crocodile-infested waters, or realise your cowboy dreams in Desperado's a Wild West shoot-out!

3. Free-fall at iFly Singapore

It's not an experience you get to have anywhere else in Singapore. Feel the exhilaration of skydiving without any real danger from falling through several thousand meters from the great blue yonder!

Rising through the wind tunnel - the only one in Singapore with a 5.5 metre tall acrylic glass wall, it's a great way to check out the awesome aerial views of South China Sea and Siloso Beach.

Can the little ones join in? Certainly, as each iFly experience includes professional training from certified instructors and complimentary gear rental to ensure a safe flight!

4. Zip your way down at Skyline Luge

Skyline Luge Sentosa is the first-ever luge introduced in Southeast Asia with two distinct experiences, the Luge and Skyride. The gravity ride was invented in New Zealand some 29 years ago, and is a fantastic way to experience some island fun. Make your way up to the start of this attraction with the Skyride, which gives you a bird's eye view of Sentosa Island then continue with The Luge.

Luge is a fun-filled gravity thrill ride that is safe for all ages. Take your choice and steer leisurely or race your family down to the bottom of the ride, and pick either the 688-metre Dragon trail or 628-metre Jungle trail to explore as you come down midway through the trail.

This zone is a great night activity too. As you're zipping down Night Luge and Skyride, enjoy the cool breeze and watch the city lights sparkle.

5. Explore Sentosa with Gogreen Cycle & Gogreen Segway

At Sentosa, a Segway isn't just a mode of transport, it's an adventure ride.

There's the circuit ride full of twists and turns with trails ranging from 250 to 800 metres during the Segway Fun Ride! Or opt for the 30min Segway Eco Adventure which brings you to either Siloso Beach or Palawan Beach to soak in some scenic views. Bicycle rental is available too.

6. Work up a sweat at Mega Adventure

Bring out your inner Tarzan as you traverse wobbly bridges, sway on tightropes and scramble along cargo nets metres off the ground. These are just some of the heart-stopping action that await at Mega Adventure - the first-of-its-kind attraction in Singapore featuring activities that are high above ground level.

Within the Mega Adventure zone itself, there are 5 different activities to cater to the adrenaline-junkie. You can whiz over jungle canopy via the flying fox at MegaZip, navigate wobbly bridges at ClimbMax, experience simulated parachute landing at ParaJump, and have some flipping fun as you bounce and somersault up to 8 metres high at MegaBounce.

Everyone is bound to get a good workout at Mega Adventure, and some fun whilst at it!

7. Wakeboard at Wave House Sentosa

You might have heard the buzz about Wave House Sentosa, and for good reason.

If you have always wanted to wakeboard but never got a chance to in Singapore, this is where you get to fulfil your dream. Flowboard at Wave House Sentosa's world famous Double FlowRider and 10-foot FlowBarrel wave rides, and then unwind to the hypnotic beats of an in-house band whilst savouring some modern Californian-Asian cuisine.

8. Explore the teeming marine life at Adventure Cove Water Park

Imagine snorkeling over a colourful coral reef with 20,000 friendly fish or wading amongst dozens of rays as you touch their velvety wings. Talk about a weekend activity! This is definitely a rare experience if you're living in Singapore so consider including it in your list if you'd like your family to try something out of the ordinary.

Adventure Cove Water Park is also home to Southeast Asia's first ever hydro-magnetic coaster that will give you the ride of your life.

For a less thrilling but equally fun water activity, head down to Adventure River where you can go tubing amidst 14 stunning scenes including a tropical jungle garden and a grotto inhabited by whimsical sea creatures.
