Forget natural marine-garden like landscapes, a hotel in Monaco has a brilliant idea for couples wanting to have an unforgettable wedding day.
Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo has created a unique package that invites brides- and grooms-to-be to get wedded on the Mediterranean sea floor. The venue isn't just another sea garden though; The hotel has revamped it into a fully fledged wedding venue, completed with altar, amphoras and even a bottle of champagne.
Taking the lead to create this unofficial wedding venue is Pierre Frolla, a quadruple world-record holder for free diving who will play wedding officiant. Couples who aren't of the same diving calibre as Frolla needn't worry too much as they will be briefed, provided with necessary diving equipment and receive assistance from qualified instructors.
Having an underwater wedding ceremony does not mean details are skipped though, as the event will be video recorded and the couple will receive a pair of wedding rings enclosed in a seashell, among other services.
On dry land, a cocktail party will be held with attendees on the beach as well as a lunch. A special 'VIP Welcome' gift will be provided for the bride and groom, consisting of a bouquet of roses, a bottle of champagne and petits fours created by chef Joël Robuchon.
