SINGAPORE - The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has handed over the Loyang bus depot to the Go-Ahead Group on Friday (Dec 11).

Go-Ahead Group was awarded the Loyang bus package last month and will begin operating 25 bus services in the third quarter of 2016. The company will also manage Pasir Ris and Punggol bus interchanges, according to LTA.

The Loyang bus depot located off Loyang Avenue was developed and funded by the government.

The bus depot, which spans slightly more than eight hectares, can accommodate about 500 buses. Similar to Bulim dus depot at Jurong West Avenue 2, it is equipped with facilities for daily bus operations such as refuelling and washing, bus maintenance and amenities for bus captains such as rest areas and a canteen.
