It was the Republic's only title on the penultimate day of the biennial multi-sports meet, giving the host of the 28th Games a total of 83 golds, 10 behind table-topper Thailand on the overall medal-tally chart.
The Thais captured their 93rd gold late last night when they beat Myanmar 3-0 in the football final.
