Wildfire Kitchen + Bar closes Evans Road outlet

SINGAPORE - Wildfire Kitchen + Bar has closed its Evans Road outlet following a change in the master tenant at the 8,957 sq m hang-out spot.

The gourmet burger joint, whose signature item is the Fullblood Wagyu Burger, closed on Tuesday (March 31) after it was put in a difficult situation by EM Services, which was awarded the tender for the site about three weeks ago.

Director of Wildfire Kitchen + Bar Sean Lee told SoShiok that, two weeks ago, existing tenants were given less than two days to submit an offer to move to Mr Prata's location at 01-02, 26 Evans Road. The only other option was to close down their businesses by March 31.

Mr Lee said that the management is "actively looking" for other locations to move to, adding that arrangements for staff are still being worked out as the changes only took place a few days ago.

Wildfire Kitchen + Bar started at the Evans Road venue in February last year. Fans can still go to Wildfire Burgers at 313@Somerset, which is operating as usual.

The Singapore Land Authority had put up the Evans Road plot for re-tender on Nov 30 last year after trouble with the previous master tenant, Winsta Holding.

After the tenancy agreement with Winsta Holding was terminated on July 31 last year, the area was said to have "lapsed into a state of dilapidation" as tenants faced issues such as dirty toilets and a broken carpark gantry which allowed even non-diners to park there for free.
