23-year-old local blogger Tammy Tay reveals intimate moments as she gives birth in hospital

SINGAPORE - 23-year-old local blogger Tammy Tay had her delivery process documented in a video uploaded on YouTube by UNZIPPED, in a series called 'Bump to Mum'.

She gave birth to a baby boy, whom she named Elroy, on September 19, 2014.

In the video she revealed that she chose to do a C-section because of severe pelvic pain.

She was also recorded saying that she felt numb after she was administered epidural anaesthesia, but could "still feel them touching (her)."

Her proud mum, stepdad and friends were seen by her side.

A description on the YouTube video read:

"Witness the long-awaited birth of Tammy Tay's baby, Elroy, in this heartwarming episode of Bump to Mum!"

The popular blogger shocked readers in March when she announced that she was expecting and prepared to be a single mum.

Although she has a boyfriend, she said then: "I don't want to get married because we've been together for such a short time and I am afraid he isn't The One."

Despite the anticipated difficulties in being a single mum, Tay maintained on her blog and in interviews that abortion was never an option.

"I feel that if I have what it takes to bring up a child, I don't see why I should get rid of the child."

However, Tay said in the clip: "Of course I do hope that the father of my child and I can get married, in time to come."

She also revealed that her son is named Elroy because her boyfriend's name starts with the letter 'E' as well.
