The actress, who is known for her youthful glow, has fronted campaigns for home-grown skincare brand Ginvera.

She was recently appointed the local ambassador for Japanese brand Hada Labo.

The former MediaCorp actress-host, who started acting at the age of six, left the station two years ago but still hosts programmes occasionally.

She was most recently seen on the Channel 5 food programme Our Makan Places: Lost & Found.

Starting Oct 21, she will be hosting the game show Silence, which will air on StarHub channels E City and SuperSports Arena, with actor Adrian Pang.

Based on a Japanese game show, contestants are required to perform everyday tasks, such as opening a drink can and cracking an egg, silently.

What is the one product you would not step out of the house without?

Sunscreen. I used to be very low-maintenance when it came to skincare.

Even though I spent a lot of time out in the sun wakeboarding, I didn't apply any sunblock.

But when I turned 30, I decided to start doing something before it was too late. I'm very lucky that there is no visible skin damage yet.

What is the one grooming service you cannot do without?

Facials. I try to go once every two weeks to unwind. The place that I go to pays attention to all the finer details such as turning the tap on slowly so that the water doesn't gush out and make a lot of noise.

What, in your opinion, is the best beauty invention?

The Shu Uemura eyelash curler - it fits the curve of my eyes best. I've tried many others and have experienced clipping my own eyelids.

What is your favourite perfume?

I started using Calvin Klein's Escape when I was 15 and it has become a part of me. I have a very sensitive nose and I can't take a lot of fragrances. Escape is one of those that won't make me sneeze or give me a headache.

I would describe it as a scent that is in between what is feminine and masculine.

What is the most ridiculous thing you have done in the name of beauty?

When I was younger I travelled without taking any beauty products along and used shower foam and shampoo provided by the hotel to cleanse my face.

Give us a beauty tip.

To brighten up my face instantly, I'll curl my eyelashes even if I am not going to put mascara on.
