Coloured shine to treat skin problems

Singapore beauty brand Skin Inc recently launched the Optimizer Voyage Tri-Light ($398), a handheld device that claims to treat skincare problems such as ageing, pigmentation and acne.

It uses coloured LED chromotherapy (where colours and light are used to stimulate healing) with low frequency stimulation to activate light receptors in skin cells to improve skin quality.

The travel-friendly device has three coloured light settings: red to renew and repair damaged skin, yellow to revive and brighten dull skin and blue to alleviate acne and soothe sensitive skin.

Users hold the device against the skin, moving it in circular and upward movements along the forehead, eye area, cheeks and jawline.

The Optimizer Voyage Tri-Light, which runs on two AA batteries, is available at all Sephora outlets, the Skin Inc concept store (B3-43 Ion Orchard, 2 Orchard Turn, tel: 6222-7428), Skin Inc's website iloveskininc.com and cosmetics and skincare website Luxola (www.luxola.com).
