The rough diamonds are entrusted to less than 400 master craftsmen who use a diamond cutting formula that is unknown to any other diamond brand in the world. These master craftsmen cut and polish the diamonds at 100x magnification - 10x the industry standard - to ensure Hearts On Fire's promise of sparkling perfection. As light enters a diamond, it descends downward to the bottom. A standard diamond with an inferior cut leaks light from the bottom and sides. Too deep or too shallow a cut, and the light that gives a diamond its brilliance is lost. This is why Hearts On Fire diamond-cutting experts specialise in only two exceptional diamond cuts - Hearts On Fire (Round) and the Dream (Square). Hearts On Fire diamonds all boast a perfect ring of eight hearts on the bottom and a perfectly formed, symmetrical fireburst on the top that will outshine any other diamond. Due to its perfectly symmetrical cut and increased surface area, a Hearts On Fire diamond captures light and reflects it from the top, creating maximum brilliance and fireburst. The skilled craftsmen at Hearts On Fire uphold the highest quality of diamond creation, leveraging cutting-edge anti-vibration technology and a scientific diamond-cutting formula. Hearts On Fire diamonds undergo a cutting process that combines mathematics and science, which takes the artisans four times as long to cut and polish. Hearts On Fire has gone on to greater heights ever since the Rothmans started Hearts On Fire in 1996. In 2006, just a mere decade after its foray into the world of diamonds and jewelry, Robb Report profiled Hearts On Fire in its 30th Anniversary collector's edition. Hearts On Fire was recognised as a "luxury landmark" and labelled as an innovator who defines excellence. In 2008, Hearts On Fire debuted its innovative and stunning Architectural Collection - inspired by some of the world's greatest architectural structures. Held at the exclusive Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel, the launch was hosted by Live Tyler and saw the attendance A-listers including Rolling Stone Keith Richards and his two daughters Alexandra and Theodora (who DJed for the party); actors Alan Cumming, Mena Suvari, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Elizabeth Banks; and fashion designer Richie Rich of Heatherette.

Another milestone celebrated in 2008, was the Hearts On Fire Diamond Chandelier that was created to commemorate the 60th diamond anniversary of the Primetime Emmy Awards. Valued at US$10 million, the one-of-a-kind piece was the focal point of the Architectural Digest Green Room. Having been created using 3,300 individual Hearts On Fire diamonds totalling over 1,000 carats, the Hearts On Fire Diamond Chandelier was an impressive looking thing measuring 36" long and 18" diameter at the widest point.

Aside from creating some of the finest diamonds in the world, Hearts On Fire has also been involved in important creative collaborations with various events. Perhaps the most notable one would have to be the Go Red For Women/The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection, early in 2014. Hearts On Fire sponsored the event that featured more than 20 celebrities walking the runway in exclusive red dresses designed by America's most elite designers. As the exclusive jewelry sponsor of the event, all women participants were able to walk the runway in signature diamond designs by Hearts On Fire. Participants of the show included, Alicia Quarles, Anika Noni Rose, Anna Sophia Robb, Bella Thorne, Colbie Caillat, Giada De Laurentiis, Gina Torres, Ireland Baldwin, Jill Hennessy, Joan Jett, Joan Van Ark, Kat Graham, Lindsey Vonn, NeNe Leakes, Victoria Justice, Rutina Wesley, Sasha Cohen, Taryn Manning, Daphne Oz and Thea Andrews.

One of the heroes of Hearts On Fire is of course, its Director of Design, Ilaria Lanzoni who joined the company in 2012. A native of Italy, Ilaria brings 17 years of design expertise to her new role. She has already been hard at work creating theme-based collections of Hearts On Fire diamond jewelry specifically designed for multiple global business markets and channels of distribution. We especially love her 2013 Lorelei Collection and the more recent Aerial Collection.
