Heading for supermodel-dom

CARA DELEVINGNE, 21

This English model-actress and 2012 Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards is known for her eyebrows and impressive career. It picked up last year when she took to the runway on 40 catwalks at the Autumn/winter shows, scored 47 magazine editorials and nine advertising campaigns.

CHANEL IMAN, 23

Known for her Victoria's Secret Angel stint from 2010 to 2012, this American model is one of the industry's highest-paid African-Americans, having walked the runways for brands like Balenciaga, Max Mara, Versace and Yves Saint Laurent. She appeared in Beyonce's Yonce music video with Joan Smalls.

MALAIKA FIRTH, 19

This Kenyan-born British model became the first black model to appear in a Prada campaign since Naomi Campbell in 1994, earning comparisons with the latter. She made her debut at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last year.

SAM ROLLINSON, 18

The London-based model has starred in campaigns for Burberry and Balenciaga and walked 64 shows during the Fall 2013 runway season. Her distinguishing feature are her cheekbones, often described as able to "cut glass".

EDIE CAMPBELL, 23

This British model stole the title from Delevingne in 2013 to bag the Model of the Year honour at the British Fashion Awards. Her rise to fame has been fairly low-key but she has appeared in campaigns for prestigious brands like Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Louis Vuitton, and is apparently a favourite of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.
