SINGAPORE - It seemed such a good idea to turn the 128m-long OCBC Skyway at Gardens by the Bay into a fashion runway.

But if the view yesterday at the J Spring Fashion Show was magnificent from the elevated walkway, the 150 showgoers, seated 22m below on the ground, did not know it.

They could barely see the collections by the seven designers, including Savile Row designer Mark Marengo and local designer Vivienne Lin.

They ended up watching the two-hour show on a projection screen set up in front of them.

The event was organised by Paris-based Vietnamese model-entrepreneur Jessica Minh Anh, who has made her name hosting fashion shows at unique locations.

She took part in yesterday's event alongside 16 other models. Previous shows have been held at London's Tower Bridge and the Petronas Twin Towers' Skybridge in Kuala Lumpur.
