After months of dodging marriage rumours, actress Myolie Wu has finally confirmed that she will wed her boyfriend of one year, Philip Lee, on Dec 28 in Hong Kong.
Apple Daily reported that Lee, 40, proposed months ago by putting the ring in a rice cooker.
The couple had celebrated her 36th birthday last Friday night and shared the news with their guests.
Wu also posted bridal photos she had taken in Belgium on Weibo.
In her Weibo post, the actress thanked Lee for "always putting a smile on my face".
She wrote: "Thank you for always walking on the outer side of the pavement when we are together, thank you for scolding me when I don't dry my hair before sleeping, and for drying it for me, thank you for making me realise that I can be a 'little woman' after all, and thank you for asking me to be your life partner, filling me with confidence and hope for our future. Thank you and I love you."
At her birthday-turned-engagement-party, Wu debuted her 3-carat diamond ring and reportedly said about the impending nuptials: "We feel it is time, we're not young anymore."
Celebrities including Linda Chung, Bernice Liu, Sharon Chan and Kate Tsui were among the guests.
