Jewellery favourites among Hollywood's top stars

An outfit cannot be complete without accessories and the celebrities got some serious bling on at the Golden Globes held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, California on Sunday night (Jan 10).

Australian actress and Golden Globe nominee Cate Blanchett definitely turned heads on the Red Carpet with her unusual pale pink Givenchy gown with tassels all around.

The intricate design was paired with diamond earrings, bracelet and rings from Tiffany Jewels. The ring was from the Tiffany Soleste collection.

She was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama for her role in, Carol, but lost out to Brie Larson who was also decked out in pieces from the American luxury brand.

California native Larson, 26, went for a minimalist look in a customised Calvin Klein armour-style dress in warm gold.

She paired the look with diamond drop earrings and band rings in diamond-encrusted platinum.

Other than Tiffany jewels, French luxury brand Chopard was also the ladies' choice for Julianne Moore, Jennifer Lawrence and Jane Fonda.

Lawrence, a Golden Globe winner for her leading role in Joy, wore a Chopard High Jewellery bib necklace in 18-carat white gold with 156.77 carats of diamonds, according to The Telegraph.

Another unforgettable celebrity on the Red Carpet was Jennifer Lopez.

Other than her striking yellow gown with a thigh-high slit, the latina mother-of-two was sparkling with over 200 carats of Harry Winston diamonds; including two necklaces made up of 46.95 and 68.40 carats of diamonds respectively, reported The Telegraph.

She also had on a 59.27-carat diamond bracelet, yellow diamond drop earrings and two diamond rings.

Swedish actress Alicia Vikander, 27, showed her loyalty to French fashion house Louis Vuitton with a dress paired with a pair of diamond drop earrings from the label.

Not surprising since she has been the face of Louis Vuitton since last year.

Olivia Wilde, 31, added a touch of glam and rock with rusty-red eye shadow and a Michael Kors gown with a plunging neckline.

Her elegant look was embellished with a vintage Bulgari necklace in gold and precious stones. The Telegraph added that she had on a Bulgari High Jewellery ring in pink gold.

One of the most sparkly looks for the evening - and this writer's personal favourite - was actress Kate Bosworth's Dolce&Gabbana dress with Christian Louboutin heels.

According to The Telegraph, the 33-year-old had on more than a whopping US$1 million (S$1.4 million) worth of Norman Silverman diamonds, including 25.46-carat cascade diamond earrings.

It was no surprise her husband, director Michael Polish, didn't let her out of his sight during the gala.
