New Face 2014 Top 20

New Face 2014 Top 20

It wasn't easy, but from 300 contestants, we have picked the Top 20.

Some have experience on the runway and in front of the camera. While others wanted to try something new. But for all, it's about reaching for the dream of winning the title of The New Paper New Face 2014.

With the age restriction lifted, this year sees the youngest and the oldest contestants (at 14 and 24) to have ever reached the final stage.

It is a fairly cosmopolitan group too, much like modern Singapore. The final selection has roots across Asia: From China to Myanmar to Thailand to Korea.

Starting tomorrow, their New Face journey enters a new phase. Each contestant will have her own four-page fashion spread, including pictures shot at Bintan Lagoon Resort.

The big question of who wins will be decided on Oct 2, as the Top 20 will strut it out on the catwalk in the grand final at Takashimaya Square.

That night will see one contestant win $10,000 cash and a feature in Her World.

There will also be winners in five subsidiary titles: Miss Levi's, New Look Miss Fashionista, Subaru Miss Vivacious, The New Paper Best Catwalk and The New Paper Miss Popularity, which will be voted for by the public.

But each one of these girls has already won a huge prize - the first step to a great career. New Face is in its 22nd year and has helped launch the careers of models, actresses and media personalities.

Expect to see some of the faces here more often after the contest.
