Qoo10, Lazada and Zalora combine forces for Singapore's Great Online Shopping Festival

Addicted to online shopping? Start training your fingers because Singapore's Great Online Shopping Festival (#GSOF) is back for its second edition this year.

To kickstart this online shopping frenzy, Google has launched the pre-sale site for the 72-hour-long event that will officially begin on Monday (Apr 25).

In line with this year's theme for #GSOF, 'Made of Happiness', customers can add their favourite deals, offers and experiences to their own private 'Happy List' even before the shopping extravaganza starts.

Once the 3-day festival begins on Monday, this 'Happy List' will help shoppers beat the rush and buy their top picks easily.

Another new addition to this year's #GSOF is that YouTube creators, including Dee Kosh, Eden Ang, TreePotatoes, WhatEverThereWas, Sandra Riley Tang, Jade Seah and Ministry of Funny will be participating in the event by collaborating with some of the brands.

Did you know? 7 out of 10 Singaporean shoppers research products online before making their purchase in store, said Google Singapore Country Director Joanna Flint.

Last year's inaugural event attracted 800,000 page views from over 400,000 shoppers. According to the organiser, 10 per cent of the online population of Singapore visited the GOSF site - and more than half of these people accessed it via their mobile devices.

The key sponsors of this year's event cover all of the main shopping categories:

● Beauty and Wellbeing: Guardian

● Tech and Entertainment: Singtel, working with TreePotatoes

● Travel: Hotels.com, working with WhatEverThereWas

● Lifestyle: Lazada working with Dee Kosh

● Fashion and Accessories: Zalora working with Sandra Riley Tang

● Marketplace: Qoo10, working with Ministry of Funny

● Support Sponsors: iMOB Shop; DBS, working with Jade Seah

● Food and Beverage: Fair Price

"We wanted to broaden our programme this year...and to expand beyond deals to celebrate the joy of shopping," said Flint.

Shoppers can stand a chance to win a special personalised treat if they send a message to @GOSF.sg with the hashtag #MadeOfHappiness.

May the fastest fingers win!
