Stilettos at Skybar: Ladies' night, where the feeling's right

With all the madness in our daily lives - whether at the office or home - what women really crave is a good kickback with her girls. Even if it's the middle of the work week.

If you're nodding in agreement, all you need to do now is to put on some pretty stilettos and head to SkyBar at KU DE TA Restaurant. Every Wednesday, the bar with a view plays host to Stilettos, a darn good iteration of ladies' night.

Launched just last week, Stilettos gives a Sex And The City-type night out on the town with your girlfriends.

As in the Sex And The City series, there's an abundance of good ol' Cosmopolitan cocktails.

ECLECTIC GROOVES

Carefully selected DJs spin eclectic grooves, like house with a bit of Latin influences thrown in.

Together with two of my best party pals, we were pumped up and dressed to the nines.

Stilettos' motto is killer cocktails, killer view, killer heels.

And they serve up exactly that - fantastic tipple that quickly hit the spot and a breathtaking view of the Singapore skyline (from the top of Marina Bay Sands, no less).

All this coupled with my heels (that are really mini-stilts though my feet were in shreds at the end of the night) made for a ladies' night to remember.

Stilettos is also where the corporate types switch their professional personas to party mode, making the crowd much better to be around.

But the action doesn't have to be just confined to Wednesdays.

On Fridays, classy ladies can let their hair down at Chateaux, an exclusive boutique club, in the Circular Road area.

Opened only a few weeks back, it's a smaller and cosier version of Dom Lounge at Marina Bay Sands.

The soft launch was packed with a relatively mature crowd as patrons filled the rooms, the dance floor, the bar and the tables.

Decent-looking guys were taking the opportunity to meet new girls and strangely enough, so was I.

Who says being single and ready to mingle meant just getting to know the opposite sex?

Perhaps, what's just as good - or even better sometimes - than adding another fella to my phone book, is adding a new fellow femme.
