SINGAPORE - A new socially conscious brand of footwear is hitting Singapore's shores.

Ix Style, which offers leather huaraches (Mexican sandals) handmade by Guatemalan artisans, donates 15 per cent of its profits each quarter to Charity: Water, a non-profit organisation that works to deliver safe drinking water to developing countries.

The American brand, founded earlier this year by siblings Francesca and John Kennedy, has been covered in American Vogue and Harper's Bazaar.

Ix Style sandals will be stocked at multi-label boutique Rockstar from the middle of next month.

Each pair will cost $145 and will be available in navy, red, beige and multi-coloured versions.

Call Rockstar on 6836-8201 or 6883-2309 for more information.
