Victoria Beckham guest-edits Paris Vogue

PARIS- Ex-Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham has guest-edited the Christmas edition of Paris Vogue magazine, the publication said on Friday.

Beckham, 39, appears in a seductive pose on the front cover of the magazine's December issue with her retired footballer husband David Beckham, who is photographed sporting a beard and dinner jacket.

Editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt said Victoria Beckham had "revealed herself to be the opposite of her image" during her editing stint.

In comments on the magazine's website, she described her as "spontaneous, full of humour... modest but at the same time equipped with a healthy ambition".

The issue which goes on sale next week would also offer revealing insights into the Beckhams' life together, she added.

"David and I have been through lots of things together. There have been highs and lows. But we are very proud of each other," Beckham said in a long interview which appears in French.

She also discussed her Victoria Beckham clothing label which won designer brand of the year at the 2011 British Fashion Awards.

"I love fashion, I love this craft... I have big dreams, great hopes and I want this label to still be relevant in 20, 30, 40... 50 years," she added.

Beckham follows in the footsteps of Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the model-turned-singer who is married to ex-French President Nicolas Sarkozy and who was last year's guest-editor.

David Beckham played his final match for French team Paris Saint-Germain in May.

The British couple, who have four children together, last week sparked queues around a London charity shop after they donated 20 boxes of clothes and shoes to raise money for victims of the Philippines typhoon.
