Who is Sheryl Sandberg?

A former chief of staff for the US Secretary of the Treasury, ex-vice-president at Google and former chief operating officer at Facebook, this 44-year-old is sparking a social revolution by urging women to "lean in" to equalise the ratio imbalance of women in positions of power in politics and business.

Her 2013 book, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, is based on her experiences as a woman working her way up the corporate ladder. Tips include not trying to be "relentlessly pleasant", finding a mentor, and giving up the myth of "doing it all" in terms of work and family.
