Fluffy white robes, fancy furnishings and top-notch service - these are just some of the perks one can expect at a five-star hotel.
Be it classic or boutique-style, Europe has over 1,200 hotels to offer with the United Kingdom and Italy having the highest number of up-scale accommodations, according to luxury database Five Star Alliance.
A night at the renowned The Ritz, London hotel costs at least 315 pounds (S$665) for one of their base level rooms, according to their website. Meanwhile, Hotels.com said a stay at Hotel Fouquet's Barriere in Paris can cost a staggering US$1,487 (S$1,990).
Though luxury hotels are known to be costly, Huffington Post has listed 10 five-star hotels around Europe that won't burn a big hole in your travel budget if you wish to stay at a princely accommodation.
At these hotels, travellers pay just half the price for a luxury stay at hotels in cities like Madrid, Berlin and Prague, where rates are at an average of US$246 (S$330), US$231 and US$220 a night respectively, said Huffington Post.
These prices are the highest on the list of most affordable five-star hotels.
Over at the other end, Warsaw was named for having the cheapest luxury stay with Thessaloniki in Greece and Bucharest coming in closely behind.
A night in a five-star hotel in Warsaw will only set you back US$134 (S$180). This price is about one-fourth the price of an average five-star room in London, according to travel search engine KAYAK's estimates.
