2 Mexicans among the dead in Paris attacks: Government

Mexico City - The Mexican government on Saturday said two of its citizens were among the fatalities in the deadly Paris attacks that killed 129 and injured hundreds more.

Mexico's foreign ministry in a statement said it "regrettably confirms the deaths of two women as a result of yesterday's attacks in Paris, one with Mexican and Spanish nationality and the other joint Mexican-US nationality."

US officials had already confirmed Saturday the death of the Mexican-American woman, Nohemi Gonzalez, a third-year design student at California State University, Long Beach.

Mexican officials identified the other victim as Michelle Gil Jaimez, who they said hailed from the port city of Tuxpan in Veracruz.
