Canadian couple found dead in jacuzzi in Mexico

CANCUN, MEXICO - A Canadian couple who traveled to the Mexican resort of Playa del Carmen for their daughter's wedding were found dead in their hotel jacuzzi after the man collapsed onto his wife, authorities said Thursday.

Autopsy results showed that the 67-year-old husband died of a heart attack while his 63-year-old wife drowned, according to Quintana Roo state police.

The man apparently collapsed on top of his wife, who was unable to move him off her while under water, according to a police report.

The bodies were found on Monday after hotel staff entered the room when relatives reported that the couple was not opening the door.
