Captured octopus shows off amazing camouflage power

Most people know that octopi have the amazing ability to change body colour to match their surroundings, but you probably didn't know that they could do it this fast.

The video clip shows a fisherman pulling up an octopus on a jig, freeing it from the barbed hook, and tossing it on the deck of his boat.

Immediately, the octopus goes from a brick red to a startling white to match the boat's floor, before darkening slightly.
