Striped toddler 'tricks' zoo's tiger cub into play

A two-year-old boy dressed as a tiger was in for a treat when he unknowingly tricked a cub into playing with him, the New York Daily News reported.

Marshall Shaffer wore his orange and black costume to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington, for Halloween.

There, he befriended Kali, a seven-month-old Sumatran tiger.

Marshall loves tigers.

"They're his thing," his mother Jackie told the newspaper.

In a video posted on YouTube, the boy runs back and forth in front of the glass while Kali mirrors his moves and tries to chase him.

The cub, however, couldn't always keep up with the energetic toddler.

The boy's mother said Marshall gets excited whenever he sees something with tiger stripes on it.

"I think you tired her out, Marshall," his father Heath says at one point from behind the camera.
