Syrian army in total control of Yabrud: AFP
An image grab from Hezbollah's al-Manar TV broadcasted on March 15, 2014, reportedly shows a Syrian army soldier firing at rebel positions in the city of Yabrud after the Syrian army advanced in the key rebel bastion.

YABRUD, Syria - Syria's army has taken total control of the strategic town of Yabrud from rebels after a fierce 48-hour-battle, an AFP journalist in the town on Sunday said.

"We took total control of the town at 10:00 am (0800 GMT)," an army officer confirmed to AFP as visibly exhausted soldiers rested on pavements lining the streets.
