These people are way too happy to be this close to a great white shark

For people so relatively close to danger, this boatload of people seems pretty giddy.

Why, it's only what appears to be a great white shark - the largest predatory fish in the world - circling this boat near Port Macdonnell, South Australia on Saturday.

The moment was partially captured on camera by Andrew Russell, who told The Advertiser that it circled the boat for around 10 minutes, and he estimated it to be around 4.5 metres (14.7 feet) long.

"It wasn't aggravated or anything like that - it was pretty placid," he told the newspaper.

"It just cruised around."

Still pretty hectic.
