A 10-year-old boy accused of stealing his mother's car during school hours took Ohio State Highway Patrol on a pursuit along an highway on Thursday (October 28) morning, NBC reported.
A call to 911 said a Toyota Avalon was seen swerving across Ohio's Interstate 90 west in Milan, Ohio when police responded.
The boy reportedly took police on a pursuit that lasted less than an hour but reached speeds of up to 100 mph (160 kph) over the course of a 15 mile (24km) stretch, local media reported.
The young assailant eventually drove into a ditch on the side of the highway, but continued driving until a police cruiser nudged the side of the car before it spun out of control and came to a halt, as seen in dashcam video.
The boy was then taken into police custody by officers who pulled him out through the driver-side window, but not before kicking officer and allegedly spitting at them, NBC reported. The boy was unharmed during the chase.
Police said it was his second run-in with authorities.
