BRUSSELS - President Barack Obama said at the close of an EU-US summit in Brussels on Wednesday that the world was a safer place "when Europe and America stand as one."
Reiterating the determination of the European Union and the United States to work together to address the crisis in Crimea, Obama said that "Russia stands alone" and had "miscalculated" in thinking it could drive a "wedge" between Washington and Brussels.
