Bedridden woman looking for hubby

KUALA LUMPUR: When 44-year-old Chinese citizen Zhou Fang Fang married Malaysian Low Kong Choo in September 2007, she did not expect to be bedridden in a hospital alone without her husband.

Zhou was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Selayang Hospital last Wednesday after complaining of sharp pains and difficulty in breathing.

Her sister Su Lian flew in from China on Monday to be with her and had tried to contact her 40-year-old brother-in-law but her efforts were in vain as his phone was switched off.

She then turned to MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong at Wisma MCA yesterday to highlight the matter.

"I hope Low will take responsibility and be with his wife," Chong said, adding that 20 such cases were reported to the department this year.

He asked those with information on Low's whereabouts to call 03-2161 5678.

Chong also said that Thai citizen Malee Sae Lee, 44, who was looking for her missing Malaysian husband last week, had been reunited with him. -The Star/Asia News Network
