Man, armed with screwdriver, robbed woman in lift
Mon, Oct 29, 2007

A MAN, armed with a screwdriver, robbed a 29-year-old woman who was in a lift in Block 140, Jalan Bukit Merah, early on Sunday morning.

They both entered the lift at about 12.30 am that night.

When the lift doors closed, the man immediately placed his hands over the woman's mouth, pulled out the screwdriver and demanded for her bag.

She refused to give in and put up a struggle. When the lift doors opened on the ninth floor, the man grabbed the bag - which contained a $650 wallet - and fled down the stairs.

The woman, who is not injured, described the man to be in his 40s, with fair complexion, wavy hair, with pimples and scars on his face.
