2 JI detainess released on Restriction Orders
Fri, Nov 09, 2007
THE Home Affairs Ministry (MHA) has released two members of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist group's Al-Ghuraba cell.

Muhammad Arif bin Naharudin and Muhammad Amin bin Mohamed Yunos were released on Thursday, when their Orders of Detention (ODs) expired.

Both men had been detained on ODs under the Internal Security Act (ISA) since Nov 2003.

They are now under Restriction Orders (ROs) for the next two years.

MHA said the ROs will subject them to conditions governing their activities and movements.

The ministry added 'both Arif and Amin had cooperated with ISD in the investigations into the JI and Al-Ghuraba cell, and had responded positively to rehabilitation, including religious counselling'.
