2 motorcyclists killed in road accidents

TWO motorcyclists died in separate road accidents on Monday and Tuesday.

In Monday's accident which happened at 3.30pm, a car and motorcycle collided at the junction of Yishun Avenue 7 and Avenue 2.

The rider, a man in his early 50s, suffered serious head injuries and died.

The second fatality took place early on Tuesday.

A motorcyclist collided into the central divider of Bukit Batok East Avenue 6, towards Upper Bukit Timah Road, at 1am.

The rider was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

In another accident, also on Monday, a car hit a pedestrian in her early 40s, at Macpherson Road towards Paya Lebar. The woman suffered serious head injuries.

Eyewitnesses can contact the Traffic Police at 1800-547-1818.
